When you are considering building your own tiny house it is optimal to have some practice doing the actual construction. There are several ways you can do this.
- Go and build with someone who does it full time
- Take a hands-on workshop
- Build a simple project yourself
In this post, I want to share with you a simple plan that if you can take on yourself and build up your confidence for a larger more complicated build in the future.
This plan is called the France Tiny House and is produced by Pi-Up Houses Plans. It is a small basic structure you could potentially put up in your current back yard, or on a piece of property that you or a friend might own.
France is an 86 square foot DIY tiny house. This 13?6? x 7?1? timber structure which stands on small pillar foundations slightly elevated about the ground and its height between floor and roof peak is 10?2?.
Below are some pictures and graphics showing the build. You can purchase the plans here and get more information.
If this one doesn’t quite fit your dream stay tuned next week for a simple A-Frame design that you might enjoy instead.
