There’s a new building trend in Seattle that has would-be residents thinking small: They’re boarding houses, townhouse-style – tiny rooms for rent for those who want big city living without the big-city price. But neighbors say they’re getting more than they bargained for and want the city to step in. KING 5’s Meg Coyle reports.
Unfortunately I couldn’t embed the following video, please click on this link King5.com or on the picture below. This is a cool idea that unfortunately has not been approached right and has neighbors upset.

As someone who used to live in Seattle (now live in the burbs) I don’t envy the neighbors who have to deal with that many new people. Parking will not be fun!
The video refused to play for me. It just kept loading. I went to the help section, and it said that I had to disable all streaming and Realplayer and everything else.
If they want me to watch the videos, they will change the format to something that actually works without making me jump through hoops.
Hi Darrell – Yes, I wish everyone would use YouTube it seems to work across the board. Unfortunately, I don’t have any control over this and don’t know your setup. Good luck…Kent
If all people write to US government requesting to modify their rules & regulation about “building”, everyone of us would’ve built a tiny house according to our income without fear. Just saying.
