Tiny House Villages and the Tiny House Magazine

Where do I park my tiny home once I have it? This is one of the biggest questions that is asked by potential tiny house owners.

Tiny house villages or communities are one option. However, finding out where they are can be a challenge.

Jill Kanto struggled with this problem by first searching on Google only to find it to be a failure. She then decided to fix this problem and has created a website called SearchTinyHouseVillages.com. The site currently includes a database of over 100 tiny house village locations with more than 300 more being added in the near future. She tells her story and how the site came about in this month’s issue.

One of these villages is Acony Bell Tiny Home Village in Mills River, NC, less than 30 minutes from Asheville. Founders and friends, John Monroe and Mark Brooks discuss what is available in their community.

Also included in this issue are the unique ways of tiny house living. Living on a boat, living full time in a tent with a family, and much more.

  1. I am severly handicapped. Can’t walk a step. Wheelchair bound, but it’s a motorized wheelchair. I used to be a draftsperson/designer. I’m 82 and I’d like to design motorhomes for the handicapped. It would need narrower counters, wider aisles, push door openers, narrow cabinets, stove, refrigerators. Walk-in or ride in showers, soaker or Jakuzzi tubs. Lifts for getting wheelchair in or out of vehicle. Security system, whatever else handicaped people came to realize would be helpful or even necessary for them.
