Tiny, Affordable Bay Area Homes under $40,000

With his first invention, a $10 solar water heater to be used in rural towns of his native Mexico, Josue of Pacifica Tiny Homes got his feet wet as an entrepreneur. Now, he and his wife and Pacifica co-owner, Crystal, build tiny, affordable homes on wheels that offer lots of storage and incredible views of the outdoors.

Pacifica Tiny Homes offers two mobile models for sale under $40,000.

Located in the expensive Bay Area of California, Pacifica Tiny Homes currently offers two reasonably priced models for sale: the Bay Cottage and the Tiny Victorian. Both homes are 212 square feet. Each of the homes are built by the Pacifica Tiny Homes team who together have over 15 years of construction experience.

The Bay Cottage has a sloped roof and plenty of storage.

The loft can fit a queen sized bed.

The Bay Cottage sells for $37,900 and features a sloped roof and contemporary features. The large landscape windows bring tons of light into the roomy kitchen and living area, which can actually fit a full sized sofa bed. The loft is accessed via a staircase with storage and can fit a queen bed. The bathroom includes a toilet, sink and shower. The model also comes with humidity sensors and RV connections.

The Tiny Victorian is inspired by San Francisco’s classic homes.

The Tiny Victorian sells for $39,900. It is inspired by the Victorian style homes of San Francisco and has a gable roof for a classic look. The home also has large windows and essentials such as a sofa bed, AC/heater unit, full kitchen, water heater, and fold down table.

Both the Bay Cottage and Tiny Victorian homes can have some custom options such as metal or shingle roofing and shiplap or cedar siding. Pacifica also offers various paint, countertop, floor and sofa bed colors and lighting options. Upgrades are also available for the appliances and the homes can be wired for solar.
