Mark’s Life in 200 Square Feet

Mark Alford’s is part of the modern tiny house movement and he and his creation is part of the growing trend of people living in tiny homes that are less than 400 square feet.

Mark and his girlfriend recently made the move from Indianapolis to an expensive studio in West Oakland. Mark at first shied away from the thought of a tiny house but after doing more research decided it might be just what he was looking for.

After six months of hard work and $7,000 he is now to this stage of the build. Mark’s house reflects his personality and simplicity of design is the minimalistic look he is looking for.

  1. Looks like a nice, solid build. Love the exterior, beautiful wood/dark trim, white windows. I wonder if those are pallets for the siding. Cant quite get a hang of the layout. Looking forward to the final build! I am very excited to see how bicyclers design and build their tiny houses!
