Wow here is a workshop I would love to attend. Coming up in just a couple of weeks is the Tiny Texas House’s week long salvage building bootcamp. Scheduled for March 3rd through March 9, 2014.
Using material from the Ugly Duckling Bootcamp you will design a home and then build it.
Learn how to prep the salvaged materials, set up the footings, and build the floor. Followed by framing the tiny home. Next put up the truss system and the roof.
Next put up the exterior siding and insulate the interior. Install interior skins and get ready to finish the home out. Particpants will get the chance to build our unique tiny texas showers with salvaged tin and bedrock.
In the last phase of the workshop you will build the attached porches which can be folded down for moving the house to its permanent location.

Wish I had realized this was happening far enough in advance to plan a trip. What a fantastic opportunity. I guess I need to spend more time looking around your website. Will there be another building camp this year that my husband and I can plan for?
