I just wanted to let everyone know that the Tiny House Blog is in transition this week. I am in the process of changing web hosts and it is a big job moving over five years of blog posts and comments to a new home.

Hi Luke, yes, I had copied the database and than more comments were made. I am still working on it so hopefully can get the last few post comments moved over. It took longer than anticipated and the blog kept active -Kent

These are Montana Mobile Cabins and the photo was taken somewhere in Montana. I will try to get the details.
Many shipping container homes have quite a few openings cut into the sides/ends/etc. Doesn’t that change their ‘shippability?’
Granted, they are still the same size… just structurally altered.

We are doing the same at our small car site.
Nice to have access to better host and software.
Think our Admin mirrored the site to the new host first so he could work out the bugs, before opening the site to the “public”.
If you setup Disqus for handling your comments you won’t lose them when you move the site around. And you can import/export comments easily. Disqus is also good for catching spam comments.
The new Jetpack for WordPress plugin also has a commenting system the works outside of your regular WP install. Jetpack has several other neat features as well.
