Healthy LivingHome 10 from Plant Prefab

Living a healthier life is on many people’s minds these days. One of best long-term ways to live healthy is to build healthy. Plant Prefab builds each of their models in a 62,000 square foot factory. While many of their designs are over 1,000 square feet, they do offer a tiny 496 square foot one-bedroom home called the LivingHome 10. Currently, this model starts at around $154,000 depending on options and features.

The LivingHome 10 has a full kitchen and living spaces.

The LivingHome 10 was designed to primarily be an ADU in a more ADU-friendly California. The home has a full-size kitchen and bathroom and private sleeping area with a queen bed, but no loft. The home also has large sliding doors and an optional deck. The home is build to have excellent indoor air quality and energy efficiency.

The bedroom is located on the main floor of this single-story home.

The home was also built with Plant Prefab’s revolutionary Plant Building System (PLB). With this system the living areas are built as panels, while the separate plumbing and mechanical core is produced as a single module. This allows the LivingHome 10 to be delivered and assembled in tighter spaces such as backyards. The consolidated utility connections allow for quick hookup to existing infrastructure.

For its designs, Plant Prefab has won several honors. These include the first LEED Platinum certification ever issued by the U.S. Green Building Council and the AIA’s top sustainable award and Sustainable Quality Awards Grand Prize.

All Plant Prefab homes are built in a 62,000 square foot factory.
