Lucky in the UK: Towed Industries Atlas Tourer

The people of the United Kingdom have long had a wonderful selection of campers and trailers (known as caravans) available to them. These lightweight and stylish options are finally being duplicated somewhat in the U.S. However, we may have to wait a bit longer for this awesome camper.

The Atlas Tourer is a travel trailer built from composite materials.

For over a decade, the TripBuddy company has been producing a sleek and beautifully designed travel trailer. The trailer comes in two axle versions and one is actually wheelchair accessible. TripBuddy was recently acquired by the Towed Industries Limited company, but the campers will stick around for UK camping enthusiasts.

The Atlas Tourer comes as a single or double axle model.

The trailers are called the Atlas Tourer and come in 15 foot long single axle and 16 foot long double axle versions. The campers are made from composite materials similar to boats. The colorful exteriors are reminiscent of the space age style of the 1960s.

Each model features a media and electrical control area by the dinette/bed combo.

The interior of each of the campers come in different layouts that feature wet baths or extra storage. The front dinette converts into a bed and the tiny kitchen features a fridge, sink, and two or three burner stove. The double axle version also has space for an additional bunk bed. Each model comes with a multi-functional media and entertainment system and electrical control system.

The kitchen has a stove with oven, sink, and fridge.

Similar to the U.S.’s Happier Camper HC1, the Atlas Tourer can have a back door that opens up the entire rear of the trailer. An optional tent can be added for extra outdoor space. A 60/40 split rear door is also available.
