Tiny Knitted Cob Cottage

Katie and her husband enjoy reading about tiny houses and hope to build one someday. She is also a knitting pattern designer and has just finished making a pattern of a tiny cob cottage. Here is what she says about it:

Styled after a cob cottage with a living roof covered with plants and flowers, this home will be a sweet toy or treasured seasonal decoration.

Complete with two windows and a door that opens, the simple home shines when embellished with simple embroidery.

Quick to knit and fun to finish, you will enjoy making it as much as kids will enjoy playing with it!

The detailed 18 page booklet includes a carefully written pattern, directions for felting and embroidery and full size templates as well as the pattern and directions for the tiny knitted and felted gnome.

You can read more about it at here DUO fiberworks blog and purchase the pattern at Hedgehog Lane.

A change from the usual posts but I thought you might enjoy these as they are a great way to dream about your own tiny home.

Darling! That would have been my dream house when I was a child. Wait!…it still is my dream house. 🙂

That’s a beautiful design and I’m sure you had a wonderful time creating it.
