It’s fun to browse through your local Facebook Market Place to see what options there are for tiny houses.
Last week I stumbled upon this 1956 Ford Grunnan Stepvan which is available for $3,500. It has a title and was last licensed in 1980. When the owner purchased it the step van still ran until it was parked. However, as you can see it’s been a while.
The step van has small dents, but overall, is very straight! It has some surface rust, but no rusted-through areas. Even around the windows are great.
The step van has a solid floor. The body is aluminum. It even has two small sunroof windows in the front.
I see so much potential in this step van and the price isn’t unreasonable. Even if you decided to not fix the engine to make it run. It could easily be converted into a tiny house or Airbnb for rental income.
You just need the skills to renovate it and a place to park it.
