In order to combat the lack of affordable rentals in Terrace, British Columbia, the owners of Bluegrass Meadow Micro Village have teamed up with Hummingbird Micro Homes to create a tiny village in a beautiful, mountain area of Canada.
Bluegrass Meadow Micro Village features homes by Hummingbird Micro Homes.

Terrace is quite a remote part of central British Columbia, so the rental options for its 12,000 residents are lacking. The brand new micro village is located on 31 forested acres with mountain views and river access. Currently the village has 15 tiny or small cabins up to 480 square feet and lots for owners to bring their own tiny homes to the village.
The village is the first of its kind in Canada.
The village features a larger community cabin with laundry.
The village also has a common cabin with laundry facilities and snow removal will be provided through the winter. Future projects will include additional homes and sites, a central BBQ and fire pit area, communal garden and recreation area. Each home has an area for parking and pets are allowed. Other services included are water, sewer, power, recycling center, and internet.
The starting monthly rent for the homes is $700.
Bluegrass Meadows Micro Village offers monthly rental rates from $700 to $1,095 per month depending on the size of the home. Rental lots will be $550 per month or Hummingbird Micro Homes can build a home and deliver it to the village.
Tiny house owners can also bring their own home to the village.
