Trees Company – with Michael Garnier

For this week’s interview, we’re climbing a ladder, crossing a suspension bridge, riding a zip line, and nestling high in the trees. (Actually, we WISH we were, but we at least had fun visualizing in the studio!) Thinking somewhat higher off the ground that our trailer bound tiny houses can carry us., we were thrilled when this week’s guest accepted our invitation to share his story about the creation of the Out ‘n’ About Resort in Cave Junction Oregon. Even when met with more than a few legal obstacles (and ongoing since 1994) he continued building his dream spot in the woods where grown adults go to embrace their inner Peter Pan. You don’t have to be a treehouse enthusiast to appreciate what he and his team have created, an oasis of fun and adventure with the comforts of home. And, if you tire of sharing branches with the birds, there are “Activitrees” galore! So, tune in this week because if the fun and frivolity that ensues does not convince you that this is indeed the land of the NOT-lost boys; we know you’ll love Mark’s personal story about the vacation he took with his boys to this magical and amazing place where memories never die.
