  1. Lovely! Before you fall in love- Just be aware that the wind blows virtually ALL the time in this area and along with other wildlife, it is home to rattlesnakes! If you are up for that, it just may be your cup of tea.

    • They say that if you have a rattle snake problem, get a bunch of chickens and let them roam the yard. The snakes will disappear. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but at least you’ll have a lot of eggs, and a chicken for Sunday dinner. 🙂

      • Well your right about chickens and snakes. I lived in the mountains east of SAN DIEGo for 13 yrs and had 10 chickens all the time there and never did I see one rattlesnake on m property. now I live in wildomar, calif. and have killed over 40 rattlers in 18yrs ,and i don’t have any chicens now …so I belive that fable.. if you have chickens you won’t have snakes..

    • Hi! This is actually my best friends cabin, and that is me walking down the hill playing catch with my dog in the third picture. I have been here numerous times with the owner and my dog and LOVE IT! In the summer we hike all over the 11 acres of the property. Lay out on the deck reading and relaxing. Not quite sure what you meant by high winds, there is a breeze in the summer that feels amazing as we all know it is warm on the eastside of the mountains. Have not yet seen a rattlesnake while visiting. I believe its too high for there liking. Anyways sad to see this for sale, next owner will have a alot of great memories.

  2. I love this area, it is super close to downtown Lake Chelan but far enough to completely relax without the hustle and bustle of the visitors. Some friends have a cabin just down from there on McNeil Canyon Rd. Never have seen a rattle snake at their place though, luckily for me the elevation is too high and they don’t like it. Views are something else, makes me want to move.
