Today’s photo is taken by Trey Ratcliff from Stuck In Customs and is titled Little Elves, Little Waterfall. Trey says, “Going into one of the valleys by Isafjordur takes you to many little homes near waterfalls. I thought this one was quite lovely. And if you look to the left there, you’ll see the tiny homes they also built for the elves.
I was editing this photo at dinner one evening in Isafjordur. One of the waitresses saw this house, recognized it, and said, “Oh that’s jklasdj(jkasdj^dhsaj”. Of course, I am doing my best to approximate the Icelandic language there…”
Thanks Trey, Iceland is on my bucket list of places I want to visit.

If we get to pick what our house looks like in heaven, mine will look like this. Except I’ll give it a more manly color of paint. What an awesome tiny house!
You can have any color you want! Limiting yourself to “manly” colors isn’t just limiting yourself. You also reinforce that belief that other boys and men need to limit themselves.
…… really?
Really?! Even in heaven?
So there’s room for the “Ugly American” in a tiny house, it seems.
Huh?
Ditto.
Cute! I want to see the inside.
I love to look at tiny houses, and think they are fun to visit.. but I gotta go a little bigger to actually live there.
dee 🙂
I love it, but I gotta go with Steven on this one Liz.
I think a nice brown with blue trim, or even a brown with a green trim.
But, location is everything so to live where I had a waterfall behind me, it wouldn’t matter what color it was. I too would be in heaven right here on earth.
Iceland is my #1 place to go in the whole world. And oddly enough, I have been working on making a beautiful little gnome home in my back yard. Please keep bringing us this heaven.
I’m lucky that where I live vivid colors on buildings and houses is normal and encouraged. My house is a lovely shade of lavender with white trim. But, one of my favs is a deep sunflower yellow with deep red trim. gorgeous!! I LOVE colorful homes!!
I am not a builder or craftswoman, but I love these little houses. Shouldn’t be a great problem to keep it clean and orderly!
That looks really nice. I like the color too. 🙂
It looks red to me…how is red not manly??? 😉
Love the elf house!
Is that a little tiny elf barbecue next to the ‘elf subdivision’? Love it!
Actually a couple of centuries ago pink was the boy’s color (like red, fiery) and blue was the girl’s color (calm, soothing) but somewhere along the line of time it got switched.
I am getting down to 596 sq ft soon from a giant house 2 stories that is 2400 ft just the up stairs. Love the efficient tiny house movement. Healthy and positive approach to life.
This would be a great house for an island or tropical setting. Eveen the color would work in Abuba or Curacao.
