This week’s Tiny House in a Landscape was submitted by Nederland Feed and is a little chapel located in Michigan. I’ll let Nederland tell you a little more about it.
This tiny “chapel” is located in Hell, Michigan. It a favorite spot to get married on Halloween. There is only enough seating for about 6 inside along with a podium for the minister/official at the wedding.

Is that a question mark instead of a cross on the steeple? Love it!
It does look like a tiny church.
Hell, Michigan looks a lot more like paradise than Paradise, Texas…
Does that mean Paradise, Texas looks a lot more like hell than Hell, Michigan? 🙂
LOL!! I drive by this all the time when I go visit my family (they live on the lake next to Hell).
I believe that may be a sickle on the roof. It’s a Christian symbol of death. Not, die if you go in here creepy, but a symbol of how transient is life. It reminds me of that super tiny Russian Orthodox chapel.
I’ve seen question marks drawn that way many times. A sickle wouldn’t look like that. It’s a cutting tool; there would be absolutely no point to curl the blade up like that – it’s not going to cut anything up in there like that.
If that was a sickle it’d definitely be a Tim Burton sickle! If I ever start up a town I’m going to call it Nowhere and mark the middle so you can take photos and send postcards from the middle of Nowhere.
I guess I should have looked this up before making that last post. A quick Google search yielded this result. You can scroll down to the entry by Kathy where she explains, “The Hell Wedding Chapel is behind Screams Ice Cream Store. The man originally had a cross on the top of the building, but was told he didn’t have a permit for a religious building and was told to take it down. He did and put up a question mark instead.”

Good One Alice…Loved your comment haa 😉
Getting married in Hell…that might be the easy part…Now if they only had a small courthouse near by you could say you went through hell to get your divorce.
