Treetop Luxury at Camp LeConte

A couple years back I had the privilege to visit with and talk to the folks at Camp LeConte about their safari tent camping experiences available for nightly rental. The safari tents are available in four configurations offering different sleeping arrangements for your specifications. Each tent offers ample storage with closed and open cabinets, a countertop, and ample lighting overhead.

At the time LeConte was preparing to add a luxury treehouse or two to their already impressive accommodations. Fortunately for all of those looking for a non-traditional camping experience in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area of the Smoky Mountains, that time has come. In fact, the opportunities continue to grow with the recent addition of a Luxury Treehouse!

It’s obvious with the presence of television shows like Treehouse Masters on Animal Planet and The Treehouse Guys on DIY that treehouses are extremely popular and are in high demand. Because of such the tree houses at Camp LeConte are a great way to enjoy the glamping and treehouse experience.

Treehouse Family

Made from trees cut right at Camp LeConte, each tree house features an open air sleeping area(similar to a screened in porch) with a queen bed and a king sized sleeping loft. There is even a full private bath (with traditional plumbing) in each tree house. They include fresh linens and towels, soaps, etc. Upon arrival you are also greeted with a cooler filled with ice and drinks.

With ground entry level on the back side, the tree houses hang over the hill at 30 ft. above the ground on the front side offering incredible views both of Mount LeConte and the rest of LeConte’s grounds including primitive sites, RV and camper sites, and lifestyle appointments, among them, a well-stocked camp general store, full-service laundry room, and in-ground swimming pool. And for those who may not be able to fully escape the office there is also high-speed and dependable WiFi throughout the park.

Cost per night is $149-$199 with no minimum night stay (unless it’s a holiday weekend) but 10% discounts are available for AARP, AAA, and Good Sam Membership members, or military personnel. There are also specials available through Camp LeConte’s email subscription list or on Trip Advisor. Group rates are also available.

Camp LeConte and its luxury tree houses are a great experience for couple or families alike. To make your reservation contact Camp LeConte online or by calling (865) 436-8831. You can also LIKE them on Facebook, circle them on Google+, pin them on Pinterest, or tweet them on Twitter!

The treehouse looks so nice and cozy. Would definitely love to stay there! There are even more treehouses at and most of them are also available for accomodation.
