Compact Independent Space

Debbie spotted this unique space designed by architect Alberto Gonzalez, Manuel Villa in Bogota, Columbia. This unusual house stands out for its unconventional shape and contemporary take on family living.

The compact house design features a polyhedron shape, clad in a black exterior with a huge window taking up an entire side of the house.

The space inside is arranged with a drawing area with a desk, ledge, shelves for storage and sofa. It comes with large windows that provide natural light and provides optimal air circulation conditions.

The outcome of this design is a Regular Polyhedron –a “Truncated Cubic-octahedron”– transformed into a inhabitable space; a self-standing volume with one of his faces opened to the surroundings, and little windows on the sides.
