Brittany’s Bayside Bungalow for Rent

I am excited to announce that Brittany will be offering her tiny bungalow for rent this summer. Here is what Brittany has to say:

Would you like to try on a tiny house? This summer, I am happily turning my tiny house into a tiny “tester” home for people interested in building and living tiny. I would love to host you in my bungalow this summer.

The Bayside Bungalow is located in Olympia, Washington, in a rural setting on a waterfront lot overlooking the Puget Sound.

  1. Love the tiny house! I was a greener at one point but I am currently living in the old home state of Kentucky. If you ever do this again I would love to in advance or to rent for a vacation or something.

    • Hi Kara,
Thanks! I will likely be renting it out either as a vacation rental or an all-summer rental again next summer, so keep it in mind if you’re interested!
      Thanks,
      Brittany

  2. Wow this is amazing! I’m in Seattle and have been dying to see one of these houses. To experience an overnight stay in one would be amazing!

      • Hi Brittany, I am Laurie, in my fifties, a writer and painter, and living at the beach in SC. I am looking for a tiny home to rent for a few months to try it out. It will be January or February before I can go west but love the location and look of your tiny house. Will it be available? Thank you

  3. Nice looking house, and a reasonable night’s rent for a nice place near the water. If I did not have my own, it would be tempting to say a week in this house.

    • Hi Irene,

This a Tumbleweed Fencl that I built myself about 2 years ago, but did a few modifications with the plans, mainly on length and roofline. Tumbleweed recently did a blog post on it with a bit more info about the build and my story. I was 26 at the time and knew close to nothing about building…so it is possible! 🙂

Thanks for you interest, let me know if you’d like to stay!

  4. I’m fascinated by the kitchen sink! Did you paint it yourself or is it available to purchase somewhere?

(I already live in a small place but yours is smaller and I’m thinking about taking the Amtrak up there and renting it for a few days to see what it’s like sleeping in a loft and bucket toilet.)

      • Yes, Benjamin, sleeping in the bucket toilet could get tricky…
You’re welcome to stay and we could arrange for transport from the train station or you could make the ride on a bike.
As for the sink, I bought it in Cabo San Lucas, when I took a vacation there in the middle of my build. Took it home as my carry-on in the airplane. So to answer your question, it is for sale in a Mexican market for $25 plus airfare. 🙂

  5. Awesome to hear, we will try and make a couple nights out there happen this summer. Still currently planning our own little place. Any discounts for multiple weekdays? 🙂

    • Come on out! I’ve had an overwhelming (and exciting!) amount of responses, and am really happy to be able to share the house with so many curious people.

I’m doing it on a donation basis, so shoot me an email (email is at the top of this page) and we can work something out!

      Think big, live tiny!

I found your beautiful tiny house months ago and had a difficult time relocating it online until now 🙂
