Camper Kart Project
I did a post a while back about Kevin’s camping kart, which is an art project that is being turned into reality.
Kevin is in the process of building the actual kart and is trying to raise funds for the project.
Logan from Rowdy Kittens sent me this update so click on the image above to visit the update and view his video of what he has done so far or click here. It’s neat to see a concept become reality.
Dave reminded me that Kevin is kind of re-inventing the wheel. The EDAR project already has done this and are giving these to the homeless now. Check out our EDAR post and visit the EDAR site here.

I can’t help if it’s really very effective to reuse a shopping cart in this manor.
Would the rear basket support be strong enough? How about the wheels themselves? Can it actually support the full weight of a person? How much work would it take to actually work around the existing basket? Wouldn’t it be infinately easier and possibly much more cost effective to simply build a new structor that would still meet the origional specifications? With that you could focus on wooden structor.
What kind of “self-reliance” is stealing a grocery cart?
