Rob Greenfield’s Tiny House

Welcome to my tiny house in Orlando, Florida where I live simply and sustainably!

I built this tiny house along with friends for under $1,500, with nearly 100% secondhand and repurposed materials and while creating near zero waste- just 30 pounds of trash! This setup allows me to live simply so that I can dedicate my time to the service of others and the earth. It also serves as a demonstration site for those who desire to live simply and sustainably.

Rob’s Tiny House Video Tour

The house is 10’x10’ (100 square feet) and is designed like a typical shed here in Florida, so that it easily fits into the neighborhood. I have designed much of my life to be outdoors, so I have an outdoor kitchen with greywater, a rainwater shower and rainwater collection system and a closed loop compost toilet system. I even grow my own toilet paper that is soft and has a minty smell!

I am currently growing and foraging 100% of my food for a year so this house is designed to be the right place to accommodate all of my needs.

I have created an FAQ to answer most every question that has arisen about my tiny house. You can read that at here. Also, to learn about how I built the house on such a small budget, with secondhand and repurposed materials, and near zero waste you can watch this video and read this guide.
