Thin House, Fat Wallet

James Stuart sent me this article he found in a paper in the UK. Though not tiny this house is small in width at only 66 inches wide. The total square footage is 1000 so there are lots of levels in this thin home.

The property is located in Shepherd’s Bush, west London, and is on the market for £549,950, and has been described as one of the skinniest houses in Britain.

Thin but pricey: The entire house measures just 5ft 6ins wide.

And the renovation company fitted it with these neat kitchen units
The sitting room: The house has been refurbished in a cool, minimalist style
The bathroom has a European-style bidet and a modern, high-powered shower
The double bed is almost as wide as the house
Small but beautiful: The property even has its own paved garden, ideal for barbeques in the summer

  1. That’s a really nice home.

I didn’t expect the inside to be so nice, until I scrolled down the page, & had a look at the rest of the interior photos.

Those bookshelves in the hall is a nice touch! 🙂

    • I tried adding up the linear feet going across also. Kitchen counter 32 inches? Shelves 12? Path 4 feet? Possible. Same in sitting room if you add it up seriously?

  2. Maybe it gets wider at the back. It sure looks wider to me. How do you get a table and chairs on both sides plus an area to walk by in 66″? Hmmm….
