How can you make travel more comfortable? Add a bed and a cozy comforter of course! For anyone who is a fan of innovative travel amenities (like the airport hotel Yotel), and the Knight Bus from the Harry Potter books and movies, the two have been combined into Cabin.
Cabin currently serves San Francisco and Los Angeles.
People who are interested in tiny houses are usually also interested in tiny space design. How do you create a comfortable area in a minimal amount of space? This doesn’t only apply to houses, it can also apply to other locations where people spend a fair amount of time such as airports and airplanes, trains and buses. If you are traveling in California, Cabin is not just a bus. It’s a transportation company and mobile hotel that specializes in hospitality.
Cabin sleeping pods feature luxury bedding, USB ports and ear plugs.
Far and away from the typical Greyhound bus, Cabin offers luxury sleeping accommodations in the form of private pods. Each pod is about 75 to 77 inches in length and 26 to 41 inches high. Each pod also has air conditioning, two electrical outlets, and two USB ports. Passengers are also equipped with ear plugs, WiFi, luxury bedding, reading lights and complimentary water. Cabin also has a community lounge where coffee and tea are served. A bathroom with toilet and sink is located on the ground floor of the bus.
The community lounge has complimentary coffee and tea.
Currently Cabin transports passengers from Los Angeles to San Francisco (and vice versa). The cost for a one-way trip is between $85 and $115 depending on whether it’s a weekday or weekend. Passengers are allowed to bring two pieces of luggage and one carry-on.
