This tiny house that I wrote about last year near Topaz Lake in California is still for sale. The owner, Tracy Pope, is eager to sell it as soon as possible and is willing to take as low as $1,500 for it. If anyone is interested in taking it off his hands and doing some minor repairs (the house suffered some wind damage), please contact Tracy in New Jersey at (202) 262-4737.

Something about a chiminea indoors looks pretty dangerous to me.
Yea, I agree with Linda on this, that chiminea dosnt look safe at all. But $1500 for the place sounds like a heck of a deal, this would make a great little weekend get away cottage or hunting/fishing shack.
That IS a deal! And yes, same chiminea I have in my back yard, but I’d replace it for indoor heating.
OOOH, I love that little house soo much but it aint meant to be, I’m here in Ft. Lauderdale with a broken leg and by the time I got it to my little patch in Lorida, Florida it would be a very expensive little house! BUT, someone WEST o’ the Mississippi could git it!! Oh, That Chiminea is totally safe as lone as you dont overpack it it would keep that place toasty, I use one on my NC cabin porch every winter!
If I wern’t in St. Pete Florida, this would be in my back yard already.
How much wind damage is there?
It looks a little ‘twisty’ in the interior shot, but I suppose you could say that gives it character. ;-]
Still, for the price it looks to be a good deal for a fixer-upper.
Elise. Tracy told me that the house had been hit with 100 mile per hour winds a few winters ago and the house was knocked off square.
Is she roadworthy? I’m probly your guy. I’ve got a place for it in Truckee, CA. (About 90 minutes)
Does it have a trailer tag and wheels that roll? You might even be able to visit my tiny cabin town and stay in your old tiny. Maybe even take it to Burning Man.

what are bathroom facilties if any? Definatily a deal…and fairly close.
I’m really interested, but the logistics seem complex. I talked to an RV moving company and they were leery of going up there & having to figure it out on the fly (not knowing the state of the building, trailer, wheels, etc.). Anyone have suggestions? I live a little over 3 hrs’ drive away in CA & would love this as a guest cottage…heating & plumbing tbd! 🙂
Betty. There is a small bathroom and shower in the home.
Anyone who is seriously interested in purchasing the house should contact Tracy Pope at the number above. He would have the most information on the status and condition of the trailer.
yeah that thing is pretty cool. any updates on if it is still for sale would be great!
It was a little while ago. Give them a call and find out for sure.
