Help a Tiny Home Family Survive Tragedy

I’m writing today to share about a tiny home family of three in need of help to survive a recent tragedy. The truly inspirational Hirth family is devastated by a recent horrific accident that has left them overwhelmed and in a financial world of hurt. Also, they’re heartbroken because they must leave their cozy tiny house and flourishing urban garden, the Creative Arts Farm.
Loving husband & father Patrick Hirth fell 15 feet off of a roof while at his job installing solar panels. That’s 1.5 stories—  truly amazing that he is alive! He sustained excessive injuries, including brain bleed, brain bruising, skull fractures, orbital fractures, fractured vertebrae and hip, fractured ribs, and a fractured hand, wrist, arm & elbow. The timeline for his path of recovery and rehabilitation is uncertain but will certainly be an exceptionally difficult ongoing journey.
“During this time, we will need to move to an accessible single-family one-story home and will no longer be able to continue on our tiny home journey in order to best support Patrick’s path to recovery.
Patrick is unable to work for an undetermined amount of time, and he is our primary financial support.
We are reaching out to our community to help assist us as we navigate this difficult time,” Siri Hirth—kind & emotionally wrecked wife and mother.
Financial contributions will help them tremendously with the extremely difficult road ahead, as well as support with any of the below needs:
  • 2+ bedroom, cat-friendly single-family one-story home in Orange County or Southern Los Angeles County (additional types of homes that will work: open floor plan apartment or condo with elevator access)
  • A larger vehicle in order to accommodate medical equipment to support Patrick’s healing (spacious SUV, van, or truck)
  • Meals
  • Relocation/moving assistance (once a new home has been selected)
  • Occasional in-home childcare
  • Pet sitting
  • Love and good vibes

Please contact us about any in-kind offers of support or donations via GoFundMe. Sharing this post helps too!

With Love,
