    • Well, shoot, nobody seems to be looking for space in Minnesota, but I’ve got two spaces plus a yard and hookups in central Minnesota. It’s a great idea. Helping each other out is one of the reasons why I love the little house community.

      • I’m still in grad school but I plan to move to Minnesota when I’m done. I may be looking you up!

It’s great that you are willing to offer space to someone.

      • Hello,

I realize that I am responding to a post that you wrote in 2011, but thought I’d give it a try! My family is looking for a place to put a tiny house in Minnesota (I work in the Twin Cities). Please let me know if you still have a space available and where you are located.

        Many thanks!

  1. I’m so excited to see this! I want to have a tiny house but siting it has always been an impediment. I only see one property owner here–I hope more join in and this alternative lifestyle catches on!

  2. Yes! Thank you! We have a home with some acreage about 30 miles away from where we work. We want to see if anyone in the area where we work (urbanish) wants a swap. We need a place to park a tiny house near work and maybe someone would like a tiny house in our home’s rural site (garden, view, serenity). We’re trying to reduce the commute and be in proximity of our dog so we can have lunch with her. Yep, she’s one of our priorities.

  3. I live on gorgeous Table Rock Lake in the Missouri Ozarks about 30-45 minutes from Branson, which is full of things to do. I forwarded this to who I rent from. I’m hoping he’ll post an ad for our place since it’s a few acres high on top of a mountain overlooking the lake. Can’t beat the life, that’s for sure.

  4. Super idea. I’ve got loads of space for more than one tiny house. One reminder for property owners though. Check zoning regs first. Most allow travel trailers on the property but many of them do not all those trailers (tiny houses) to be inhabited.

    • I was wondering how long it would take for someone to discuss this. You are right, this is going to raise a lot more issues for these tiny homes, AKA campers or rv’s. Water, sewer, electric, insurance. Even in the country, many areas do not allow people to live in campers. An rv or trailer park may be better suited to provide the services that these units require.

  5. Thanks for the feedback everyone! I burnt some midnight oil putting this part of Tiny House Listings together. Any feedback you have on how to make the site better is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Kent for spreading the word!
