Tiny House Blog Copy Editor

Many of you  have suffered with my not so great grammar and punctuation over the past four years and I apologize. I have a mild form of dyslexia and the English language was never a strong point for me during my education. I am happy to inform you that things are changing here at the Tiny House Blog with the addition of a copy editor.

Kasey March has joined Tiny House Blog as the copy editor. She graduated from the College of New Jersey with a BA in English and minors in Creative Writing and Women & Gender Studies. She recently began a trend spotting, decoration, & DIY blog Buttonwood Cottage (buttonwoodcottage.blogspot.com). By day, she is a college consultant in Pennsylvania where she helps juniors and seniors find schools that are the right fit. By night, she works on her plan to build a cob home that meets her tiny house needs. When not researching cob building, she is ignored by her cat, Calvin, and adored by her dog, Hobbs, who live with her in southern New Jersey.

Please join me and welcome Kasey to the Tiny House Blog team.

  1. The teacher asked the little girl if she was going to the barn raising. “No, I ain’t going,” was the reply. The teacher corrected the child: “You must not say, ‘I ain’t going,’ you must say, ‘I am not going.’ ” And she added to impress the point: “I am not going. He is not going. We are not going. You are not going. They are not going. Now, dear, can you say all that?” The little girl nodded and smiled brightly. “Sure!” she replied. “They ain’t nobody going.”

    • Hello, Kasey! It looks like you are getting an education in vernacular English before you edit one line of Kent’s writing. I am especially excited because you are planning to build a cob house as is my intention. I’ll be paying close attention. Good Luck, young’un!

  10. Welcome Kasey!

All of us, no exceptions, need access to a capable copy editor. Kent was smart enough to do something about it. With you on board, I see even greater things ahead for this fine blog. You’ve both chosen well.

I’m actually going to begin building my first tiny home soon, the xl tumbleweed. I know it is small but I feel this is where God is guiding me. 12. This blog has provided me with piles of useful information, ideas and incentive. And all of the important details. The details of tiny houses. I never noticed the grammar details. I would equate that with not being able to see the forest for the trees. Thank you for your work!

Happy this is growing and you are adding to the team. Welcome Kasey!
