Horse Truck Hermitage

Shelley recently sent me this link about Rima and her horse truck hermitage. I really like the rustic look of this home and you could spend hours just viewing everything in Rima’s blog.

Rima is a traveling artist who with Tui her partner have built this unique home to travel around the country selling her artwork.

These pictures will just wet your appetite for what Rima has on her blog.

Rima’s curiosity leads her through the many worlds of words, languages and lettering, books and stories, puppetry, nature and interesting people, music, superstitions, folklore and fairytales, and most of all the otherness that can be found on the periphery of our lives, the strange and grotesque, the absurd and unnerving … that topsy turvy in between place where things are not quite what they seem…

Her days are spent in a house on wheels with Tui, her man, best friend and fellow traveller and he weaves beautiful sounds to make beautiful music.

Rima writes tales of their days and thoughts of her stories and songs of her paintings here on this blog for you to smile at.

Tiny House and The Hermitage are my two favorite blogs ever. It’s about time they met each other :)

Yes, not sure why it took me so long to get it up. I had spotted it quite a while back but got distracted with something else. It’s a fantastic blog and I’m looking forward to spending more time reading it…Kent

All I can say is, “Wow!” I’m so impressed with this rolling home. Giddyup!

  4. Paula says:

I don’t think the links are working.

I second that comment, it’s about time you found Rima and the Hermitage! I’ve been following her blog about as long as this one, and find them equally enthralling. My own journey is leading me to smaller digs, and the possibility of mobile digs as well…so I’m reading both sites even more closely now!

  6. Donna says:

Umm…your title reads “Horse Truck”…shouldn’t it read “HOUSE Truck”??

Sorry, I’m a proofreader and people hate me for that…bad habit from my teaching days.

    • Kent Griswold says:

No this home is actually built from a “Horse Truck” for hauling horses in England, but you are correct in that it is converted into a house so it could be called a “House Truck” also.

I think tiny houses, especially movable ones, are perfect for artists creating art, selling art, living lightly and artfully. Tiny house blog rocks!!

Any more stories or links to tiny houses and artists?
