This Tiny ADU Feels Twice Its Size

Tiny ADU

Most tiny homes feel… tiny.

Low ceilings. Bad light. A little cramped.

This one?

Completely different.

I just came across a 384 sq ft backyard ADU that honestly feels twice its size, and it’s not because of some crazy trick or gimmick.

It’s thoughtful design.

In this walkthrough, Jeramy and Kevin from Nanostead break down what actually makes a small space feel big.

A few things that stood out:

And you can feel it right away.

Light. Air. Flow.

Not cluttered. Not cramped. Just… right.

There’s also a subtle mindset shift here that I love:

It’s not about building bigger.

It’s about building better.

They call it “right-sized” living. Designing a space around how you actually live, not some arbitrary square footage.

That one hit.

If you’re into tiny homes, ADUs, or just smart design in general…

You’ll enjoy this one.

Quick warning:

After watching this, you might start looking at every poorly designed house a little differently.

Oh, by the way…The radiant-heated bathroom floor in a tiny home? Yeah… that part was pretty wild.
