A Home For Sam

a home for sam

by Forrest Musselman

We’re building a tiny home
…for Sam, a man whose home was destroyed in front of the world – because of political pressure.

Sam lived in his home in the woods for years. Because of political pressure, his “tent” home was destroyed.

A video of Sam watching his home being destroyed went viral – and has been seen by nearly a million people. A year later, Sam is still homeless.

Q: Why was Make It Rain started?

A: Make It Rain was created to provide opportunities for ordinary people to use their gifts to help others locally and abroad. We wanted to inspire people by helping them serve. Making service accessible to all is what propelled us to start Make It Rain.

Q: Where does Make It Rain operate?

A: We operate everywhere! Make It Rain is a movement to bring awareness to service opportunities down the street, in another state, and across the globe. The people we bring these service opportunities to are also local, national and global. This is accomplished through social media, projects and service trips.

Q: Why the name “Make It Rain?”

A: We all can be a part of change in the world. We want to make things happen and get things done, hence “Make It Rain”.

Q: How can ordinary people help?

A: Everyone has a skill, talent, or gift, from cooking to construction. Our goal is to match skills with the needs in communities around the world, and have ordinary people make a difference. You can visit the 1-2-3 help section on our homepage to help our latest project in less than five seconds, or reach out on the Contact page to offer your skill, talent or gift.
