For a number of months now I have been listening to several podcasts including my very favorite, Backyard Poultry with the Chicken Whisperer. Hosted on BlogTalkRadio.com the Chicken Whisperer is a daily program that mixes a live chat room with co-hosting banter, informative guests, and well researched news topics (news on chickens and backyard flocks, nonetheless!) In the past few weeks I have listened constantly asking myself “why doesn’t a show like this exist for the tiny house community?#8221; There are so many interesting, knowledgeable, fun, and socially responsible, folks involved in the tiny house movement. Surely there is a platform for them to appear. But after a number of searches I came up with nothing. And that is when we decided to get involved!
In past months we have been blessed to be part of some pretty awesome platforms including being a “How-To” author for Tiny House Blog as well as a guest author for other blogs, a couple of newspapers, and even a regional magazine. And couple with our YouTube channel it seemed only apropos to expand into the only truly unchartered tiny house territory; the podcast airwaves!
Armed with a Microsoft headset/microphone combo, a MacBook Pro, a FREE account on blogtalkradio, and a working knowledge of the tiny house community, we officially launched Tiny r(E)volution and the Tiny House World on June 7!
And so now every Thursday at 2:30pm EST we have a show that is both live and then archived. You can find us on our show page or on iTunes. Either way you can subscribe and catch each one of our shows. So far we have discussed topics like the founding of Tiny r(E)volution, how to gain sponsors and influence marketers, how to purchase a trailer, putting on a metal roof, plumbing your tiny house, and even live interviews! In fact, you can find our most recent archives shows at the following links:
It really has been fun and we would love to build up the audience so that the tiny house community can have another forum on which to learn and share as well as to possibly expand to two shows a week. But we need your help!
Here is the July 4th podcast.
Consider subscribing to the show or just listening in as you can. If you go to our show page we ask that you click “Follow” so we can gauge just what the interest is in a tiny house podcast.
