Young Van Life Couple Chasing Waves and Dreams

Beach vibes and good times. Just another day in van life paradise? For Wes and Savana, van life is all about living affordably and fearlessly to create an ever-evolving, adventure-rich lifestyle.

They are two financially savvy recent college grads and outdoor enthusiasts. While in college, Savana introduced the van life concept to Wes. Once he discovered they could save $20,000 on rent, they were sold on the idea and cleverly converted a Dodge Sprinter van.

Savanna grew up on a sailboat which gave her a love for travel and small spaces. She thrives on change. This mobile way of life of pushes her out of her comfort zone, which for her, leads to more fulfillment.

After graduating, Wes and Savanna sold their converted van, at a profit, to a young commercial diver. Here is a look at their first van:

They are now handcrafting their dream tiny home, Bella, a 4×4 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van. Also lovingly referred to as their land yacht.For Wes and Savanna, van life allows them to pursue their passion and to keep open hearts and minds. Home literally is wherever they park it. One of their favorite “homes” is the Oregon coast, where Wes shreds waves on his kiteboard and Savanna chases him in their van. Kitesurfing is one of Wes’s passions; he’s been at it since he was a kid. Truly awe-inspiring to watch.
