Zyl Vardo’s MoonDragon Tiny House

One of my favorite tiny house builders is Abel Zyl of Zyl Vardos. He is a creative genious and has come up with some very unique tiny homes on wheels. Be sure and check out his web page Zyl Vardos.

He just completed his latest called the MoonDragon and is getting ready to deliver it to the new owner in California. He just sent me some interior photos and I wanted to share them with you here on the Tiny House Blog. This is a unique complex design, and though my favorite is still his Little Bird which is much more simple, I’m enjoying the different angles and design of this latest project.

What do you like about this design?

  1. um, what is there NOT to like about this design? stairs AND space to stand on the second level? this appears to be a very accessible design for people with disabilities and/or chronic pain. no ladders, no excessive bending over… and it’s cute to boot.

  2. One of the best looking designs I’ve seen. Not only looks great but the space looks VERY functional and roomy (for a tiny house). I’m impressed!

  3. very nice work undoubtedly costs a much as a condo–hats of to someone who has woodworking knowledge–but for the probable cost i may as well invest in a condo somewhere + not having land to put this on

  4. I agree with Kat up above – this house is SPLENDID, I love it, but I shudder to think what it cost. Still, it’s wonderful. The only quibble with me is that it sorely needs paint on the inside. All that bare wood would bum me out after awhile. But I love this design and I’m bookmarking it.

Speaking of cost…how much DID it cost?

    • Abel did not share that with me. I think that each house is a work of art and that is negotiated between the buyer and Abel.

  5. WOW! A stellar loft that can be reached by normal rise stairs and it’s walk in, not crawl in. I love it! The odd round window it just gorgeous too.
