Anyone who is interested in tiny homes or alternative living also seems to have a streak of nomadism running through their veins. Nomads like to experience a variety of different countries, cities, towns, and homes—especially for free or cheap.
One service that hopes to blend nomadism with free places to stay is Nomador. This company connects house sitters and homeowners around the world. The house sitters look after houses and pets free of charge in exchange for accommodation.
To be a Nomador, you must love pets!
The website offers a searchable function to find both housesitting jobs and house sitters/pet sitters in fun and unique places around the world. Users can create profiles on themselves and their homes and are rated by the people who use and benefit from the service.
Homes and jobs range from caring for farm animals in the Washington countryside to taking care of a kitty in an apartment in Paris. Schedules are available from one or two days to up to several months.
The service is free for both homeowners and house-sitters to join Nomador. However, for $99 per year, nomad house sitters can become subscribers. The subscriber level allows sitters to appear on the first page of searches and includes a trust profile for homeowners.
The service is free unless you choose the Trust Option as a house sitter.
