Ben a long time reader who keeps his eyes open for tiny house info and than shares it with me recently sent these great examples of a tiny house.
Ben says, “I found this truly tiny house at the local farm and garden supply. Airy with great views. It even has a loft! But one has to be a grouse to truly appreciate it.”
Thanks Ben!
You know, that design might be just the thing scaled up to a tiny people house. Covered storage space below for bikes and tools, a screened porch to lounge about in when the bugs are unbearable, turn that box on the side into a deck . . . and that roof is perfect for solar or a really cool slide! Maybe a water(collecting) slide on rainy days.
I agree— I love the look of it, and it’s easy to see how it could be ‘scaled up’ to more liveable (human!) size… But I think it’s just darling as-is for some backyard egg-layers! 😉
Lucky ducks…I mean chickens!
Lucky if they are for laying eggs and not being grown for roasters…
I think a people sized version would be ideal for a tiny house, especially here in Florida.
Think I’ll get my graph paper out and play with some ideas. Thanks for the posting!
Share those ideas, huh? 😉
This house is unique in combination in appreciation of the outdoors and indoors. This may be a temporary solution for homelessness, without the spread of disease in shelters, from people sleeping too close to each other. Then a main building can be created for eating, showers, and community counseling.

Yep, screened in & off the ground for them gators & snakes! Just change the angle on the entrance ramp a bit to accommodate wheelchairs & I know lot’s of people in Florida who might benefit from this design!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
I too have seen these at the Home Shows, here in Sacramento. At first I thought they were for the birds, until I checked out the hardware. Still I can’t seem to open my checkbook; guess I’m just a chicken.
