Peter, I agree with you wholeheartedly! If I make the decision to live in a tiny home, I want the freedom of not being tied to a mortgage and many of the financial trappings of a larger space. Of course, $54K is a lot less than even some of the lowest priced traditional homes, but it is still much more than I would expect to pay for living in something the size of a parking space.

By the way, I have always lived in spaces less than 400 square feet.

A beautiful small home! Congrats!

I have to say, however:

It is too bad all of these are getting so expensive.

Jay is charging well over $800 dollars for most plans now.

I suppose it was bound to happen! With a ready made Fencl now going for $54K, it won’t be long till true lovers of mother earth are better off restoring character homes with reclaimed materials . . . .
