I thought that looked like a Tumbleweed home. I checked out the article and it's quite inspirational for anyone considering such a move.

When younger we lived in 4000 sq. ft. home and while it was gorgeous (I loved my walk-in closet) I love my current office/studio home. It is 11x11 with 14-feet ceiling and one wall is a floor to ceiling window wall that looks out onto a backyard that is slowly becoming a lush garden setting. I'm putting in feng-shui principles. When one's universe is the internet as mine is the space I park my body is for my personal aesthetic enjoyment. But then writers are a different breed of human :-)

I live in 250 sq ft, and though the change to tiny was not deliberate in my case, I have fortunately discovered that smaller really is bigger!

I house/pet-sit on occasion, and find that the big houses I take care of while the owners are away actually make me feel more confined than I feel in my tiny house.

There's a great article somewhere in the New York Times online (sorry I don't have the link handy) that explains how living in tiny houses helps connect us with the outdoor landscape. I happen to live in the mountains of Southern Oregon, so this is a great aspect of tiny house living for me. My "space" actually feels huge (to the horizons), whereas living in a big house I feel confined.

Anyone else have this experience?

BTW - I also enjoy a life with NO BILLS! Not one. It's the BEST :-)

Wow, now that is a really small house. I think it is 140 square feet?
We haven't achieved the freedom in our little house that we were seeking just yet, but that's what we're striving for. Greg's life shows me that it's possible.
