Tiny House in a Landscape
This weeks Tiny House in a Landscape is a very interesting winter scene. A tiny house buried beneath snow and trees. I’m not sure that this for real or some type of photoshop experiment but I like the results whichever way it is. The cabin looks very cozy with the light shinning through the window. I makes you want to snuggle down in front of a fire and enjoy the comfort of home.

I live in a small cabin–not as tiny as the one in the pic but small and trees all around. Christmas day of 2000 we had an icestorm in Arkansas just like in the picture. The beauty of it was breathtaking. So was the damage. Those trees with that much ice start breaking and falling down. My yard looked like a war zone and I had roof damage. I was without power almost a week and in some nearby areas it took almost a month to get power back! I think it was photo shopped!
My first inclination is to say “photoshopped” but then I bite my tongue as I have a picture VERY similar of a house (different configuration of the house) in Hokkaido Japan. So, maybe it’s real. They do get a lot of snow daily there and there are lots of “off the beaten path” places that people still live.
Looks like a nice cozy little gem. I Like It.

I doubt it’s photoshopped. We get snowfalls that look like that here in MN.
Looks like hoarfrost to me. Nice to be inside on a day like that for sure, sipping whatever your comfort drink might be by a cheery fire.

I am so glad I discovered this website. I love all of your posts, Tiny House in a Landscape especially!
I’m with you Mary. Was thinking of an ice storm and can relate.
Definitely looks like hoarfrost. Have seen it many times – it’s beautiful and lightweight so as not to hurt any trees. Ice would be shinier and the boughs hanging down to the ground from the weight.
The beauty of this picture brought a tear to my eye. Thank you for sharing.
