Tiny House in a Landscape

by Kent Griswold on July 3rd, 2010. 8 Comments

This weeks Tiny House in a Landscape are V Houses located in Portugal. I wanted something tropical and this was the best I could do for right now.  I actually took a great picture yesterday on our vacation but am unable to upload it on this computer so it will have to wait until next week when I am home. In the mean time enjoy these interesting houses. I like the A frame design with the natural straw roofs. What do you think?

I like the fence that looks as if it’s made of driftwood.

I live these. I would much rather stay in something like this than a hotel. I like to get out into the population of the area I’m visiting.

As always you don’t disappoint! Love all the posts and photos (I guess you would say it is my favorite blog) the homes you choose are enchanting and I covet each one. Thank you so much and enjoy your holiday.

    Best,

They are lovely. I especially like their thatched roofs. For me, the combination of small size and thatched roofs is a winner.

There is no bad A-frame! :) I just wish there were more resources for building plans. The most recent, and best, A-frame plan I’m come across was on pg. 26 of Gerald Rowan’s book, “Compact Cabins.” What makes that plan so unique to me is all of the living space is on one level. Way cool!

I love the houses, but I really like the fences!

Reminds me a bit of the houses in the Asterix books, a comic series about ancient Gaulish Celts.

  8. I also like the frame design with the natural straw roofs.
