Tiny House in a Landscape

Liz Berger recently went on a trip to Romania and saw this tiny house while hiking above Red Lake in the Eastern Carpathian mountains. She just had to share it with you. Liz says, it didn’t seem to be in use at the moment, and I couldn’t see inside, so there are only exterior shots, but it still looked like it might once have been a peaceful retreat.

Thanks Liz for sharing, if you have taken a photo that would fit into this feature please send it to tinyhouseblog@gmail.com. Thank you!

  1. Such a SWEET little cabin… and… HOLY COW, what a view! Thanks for sharing this little ‘getaway’ spotted on your ‘getaway’! 😉

  2. Benjamin, it appeared to be a pulley system, attached to a cable that went down the mountain, but very close to the ground. Not sure what it could have been used for?

  4. A pulley system could be pretty handy for hauling gear and supplies up to the cabin. I’ve got one at my place going down to the next level on my steep land and will be putting something in next to my stairs down from the road. No need to carry several loads of stuff when you can easily rig a system to deal with it. Eventually will make a manual funicular for people.
