Dan Leavell is our reader and photographer of this week’s Tiny House in a Landscape.
This is a picture of the Lodgepole Guard Station located just south of Crater Lake, Oregon. The guard station is a historical cabin that was constructed to help aid in watching for Japanese bombers during WWII. It is a wonderful, secluded place to stay if you are in the Crater Lake area. There is much more information included on the Forest Service website.

Beautiful scenery. Looks like Dan went way overboard in PS with the saturation 🙂 but nice photo nonetheless.
Maybe not Photoshop color. That’s what Oregon looks like in the summertime; it makes up for the gray skies all winter. (I live a few miles west of this) 🙂
Donatella is right, the picture is not saturated. I actually used a ND filter on my Nikon d3200 for the picture it was taken as the sun burned off the morning fog and left those beautiful bold colors. It really is a gorgeous place!
My apologies on the incorrect assumption. I really like the picture. It’d be fun to play around with to see what kind of variations of it you could get.
