Cheyenne Morrison sent me these pictures of this hut he lived in that is located in Buhay Kubo, Pinagbuyatan Island, Palawan, Philippines, looking towards Malapacao Island.
It looks like a very peaceful setting and I don’t think any one of us would have a tough time relaxing in this setting. The beautiful blue water and the nice little hut to call home makes this a dream setting for a tiny abode.

Amazing spot. I stayed in a bungalow on the beaches of Bali a few years back for $2.50 per night and included breakfast. That would be my perfect dream spot right there.
Such a lovely image. I’m imagining finning back from a morning snorkel to have a relaxed lunch on the beach. A true tonic, as we are in major preparation mode up here today in the Northeast for Hurricane Irene!. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Kent, Buhay Kubo is the Filipino word for a small hut. The actual name of my house was CANDASYAYAN or Cheyenne’s Place in Cuonin, the local filipino dialect. Sadly since I lived there it is falling apart and in very poor condition. Miss my little island home 🙁

Dreamworld! Beautiful location, the little hut is awesome. But of course, I think, “it’s so close to the water…what about when the waves break on the beach and splash in the front door?” Was there ever a problem like that? But still, I love it.
buhay kubo means “nipa hut” in the PI. There is no location called Buhay Kubo… until my bunk house is done. Then I’ll name it and put it in Google maps for you.
Just for the record- Cheyenne never lived there. He told everybody he lived there, but only ever spent one night there. The island has no fresh water, so in any case it would have been tricky to live there .The hut is now gone, and the beach overrun with tourists, which is a shame.
