Tiny House in a Landscape

This weeks Tiny House in a Landscape is a photo I discovered of a small off-the-grid farm for rent in the wilds of British Columbia, Canada.

It has a 450 square foot cabin and is located on 160 acres. It is about 20 minutes to a general store and a gas station, and the person wishing to rent it must be accustom to living off the grid. If you would like to learn more you can visit the kijiji site where it is listed.

  1. Bugs, bears, winter and wildfires, better be prepared for all of that and more. Beautiful country but can be pretty rough up that way. Of course I’m a sissy Gulf Islander here in Lotus Land.

    • Yes 1000$/month is correct. It includes the land so you could grow your own food and raise some livestock there too. And depending on how many acres of hay there is you may be able to sell some and pay for a month or two of rent just off the hay, not to mention any livestock sales you may be able to make.
If the land were not included and it was hooked up to the grid the rent would be around $600/month. That is pretty standard rent here in Canada depending on the nearest availability and type of jobs. Hope that helps. 🙂

(1000$ canadian is equal to $1,032.57 USD as of today).
