This looks like summer living only? Attractive price but it looks like the winters would just about pick up the house and carry it away to another zip code in a snow storm.
I find it amusing where home prices have gone. This is what my 5 bedroom 2 story home on a 1/4 acre sold for in 1968 and was at $1.29M in 2006.
One note of caution about craigslist is to due diligence on goods and services. If it sounds to good to be true, well you do the math…
I know the area from the Canadian side, lots of moose, lakes, streams, trees and rocks, with serious bugs in the summer, but you are surrounded by parks and reasonably close to Duluth. Back in the 70’s you could get old farmsteads for next to nothing because the farm kids were all moving to the city. Winters aren’t as bad as they used to be and summers were great. We got our 120 acre farm with huge squared log 1914 built house for $6,000. Long time and many miles ago . . .
22k cash ??? sounds like a scam to me i dont think id buy real estate cash down without some kind of paper trail.
