<p>Joanne McFadden of the <strong><a title="Daily Gazette" href="http://www.dailygazette.com/news/2008/feb/17/0217_cottage/" target="_blank">Daily Gazette</a></strong> in Schenectady, NY writes about a Greenfield couple who build a tiny little house to put up the guests when they come visiting.</p>
<p>Kim and Ray Faiola had space at the end of the road on their lot in the woods and thought it would be a perfect place for a guest cottage. Ray did extensive research and found a plan he liked. He decided to use <strong><a title="Sheldon Designs" href="http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?af=858562" target="_blank">Any Sheldon&#8217;s Micro Cottage</a></strong> design which is a 574 square foot home.</p>
<p><a href="http://tinyhouseblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/real_estate_guest_house_faiola_mcfadden_mjr_mbh_sun_7_559854812022008_t500x500.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-2080 alignnone" title="Micro Cottage" src="http://tinyhouseblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/real_estate_guest_house_faiola_mcfadden_mjr_mbh_sun_7_559854812022008_t500x500-450x324.jpg" alt="Micro Cottage" width="450" height="324" /><br />
</a></p>
<p>Ray spent nine months building the cottage and utilized many items from the main house in decorating and constructing the home. The house is connected to the septic system and electrical. His brother assisted him along the way as well.</p>
<p>“Halfway through I thought, ‘What was I thinking?’<span>?</span>” joked Ray of the 9-month project, which took place from April through December in 2006. “Just because something’s small doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. It’s actually harder, because you’re working in small quarters.”</p>
<p>To read Joanne&#8217;s article visit the <strong><a title="Daily Gazette" href="http://www.dailygazette.com/news/2008/feb/17/0217_cottage/" target="_blank">dailygasette.com</a></strong>. Also if you are interested in this cottage Andy Sheldon has a holiday special going on right now and you can buy the &#8220;Micro Cottage&#8221; plans for <strong>$99</strong> at <strong><a title="Sheldon Designs" href="http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?af=858562" target="_blank">Sheldon Designs</a></strong> website. The usual price is <strong>$139</strong> and the sale price is good through <strong>December 31, 2008</strong>.</p>
