Tumbleweed Tarleton for Sale

Grant McComb emailed me yesterday and told me about his Tumbleweed Tarleton he has for sale at what I think is a bargain basement price. Let me let Grant tell you about it:
I just finished building my tiny house from Jay Shafer’s plans. It turned out wonderful and I’ve been living in it for about 2 weeks now. I enjoyed building it so much that I’m going to
build another one.
I’m selling it for only $18,000. The trailer was built brand new and is box frame (not C channel). I paid around $3800 to have the trailer built.
The humanure toilet is working great. I’m using peat moss instead of sawdust and it seems to be working just fine. There is absolutely no odor at all. I chose peat moss because I can go to Home Depot and buy a big bag of it for $6.00. I don’t know where to get sawdust at.
I have a 10 gallon water heater for the sink and the shower that works beautiful. It acutally works better than the house I just moved out of. I have a garden hose coming from the land owner’s house for my water supply.
It took me less than 3 months to build the tiny house. I started in May of 2009. Feel free to call or email me if you have any questions or know anyone interested.

Great looking tiny home. What model are you building next?
Grant did a nice job on this house. It looks great, and that is a great price for someone to pick it up at.
Looks great and sounds like a great deal at $18,000. I imagine someone would easily replace the humanure toilet with a regular composting toilet too… as long as it was a model that did not require an overflow drain.
This is the most reasonably priced home I have seen! Quality construction, well thought out. Great job, and will watch for your next build! Pam
WOW! $18k? He’s giving it away at that price. I’ve seen stories where people spend more than that on materials alone. I love the outter siding. It looks more like a house than some of the other tiny houses people have made. They’re all still beautiful.

Yes, Dan he really is. Originally he told me he was going to ask $25k but he really wants to move on to his next project so I think he pretty much is selling it for costs and his own labor. Great deal if your in the area and might even be worth the costs to get there if you live a further distance away.

My wife and I are considering buying a tumbleweed Home. I have a rare kind of cancer that is costing us a lot and causing us to scale down. Can you send us Mr. McComb (or other builders)contact info that might sell us one of the already built Tumbleweed homes for an economical price?
