Tiny r(E)volution Tiny House Build

Andrew Odom of Tiny r(E)volution who has guest posted here several times in the past has started building his own tiny home. Andrew, his wife Crystal, and new baby plan to live in their tiny home when it is completed.

Andrew has brought on five sponsor companies – EcoFoil, LP Building Materials, Ethel Gloves, Mechanix, and Gulf Coast Supply & Manufacturing.

They are also making videos, at the pace of about two a week. Andrew is a good communicator and I think you will learn a lot by following his tiny house build.

You can follow their progress several ways. Via his blog at

Thanks Andrew for sharing your learning process with us.

  1. Excellent video. Learned a few things. Planning a tiny house myself, one with a south facing solarium for free light, heat, hot water, and a few plants. Look forward to your next video.

    • Thank you for the note Benjamin. As the videos progress the balance becomes better. The first video was one of the first videos I have ever composed. Please be patient with us. In fact, you will see on the video description (maybe only viewable on YouTube) that we have a disclaimer about our video insufficiencies.

    • Hey there Marcia. Thank you so much for watching the videos. I do appreciate it. The next one will come out mid-May as we are on hold right now awaiting framing materials. After building it typically takes me 2-3 days to edit the videos. Glad you are keeping up with us though!

  3. Nice videos! I’m learning as you go. However the third video’s audio isn’t great. Maybe wearing a mike would help?

    • Hi Paula. Thank you for your comments. All video is shot on my iPhone and then edited in iMovie. We are not in the video production business and our only reason for making these videos is to share our experiences with others who may want to build a tiny house. We have no budget or need for a mic or any additional gear. We just do the best we can with what we have. I hope you will keep watching though and following the Tiny r(E)volution!
