I would be willing to sell the tiny house as it is (dried in) if someone wanted to finish the interior, if you think any of your readers would be interested in this you can let them know that for the next few days I will sell it for $2500 as it is, picked up here or within 200 miles of my 72560 zipcode, I would deliver it that far for free, any distance beyond that I would need to charge $2 per mile.
I am also willing to sell it completed but I need a commitment right now. Here are the details:
Here is the deal of the winter, I have enough time to finish this house before starting the bigger unit so I will offer one heck of a deal to anyone ready to pull the trigger today on this house finished and completed with bath, kitchen, wood interior, etc., Same delivery option as above, free delivery within 200 miles of 72560, $2 per mile after that. The price for the house completed is just $9250 hopefully someone will take advantage of me and my situation and get a real bargain on a quality house, I really do need to move this house asap, to accept this offer the buyer will need to put down a 50% deposit with remainder due upon delivery, I will honor this offer until Tuesday 2-23-10 noon Central Time, the offer for the dried in version will be good thru Friday 2-27-10 5P.M. Central Time.

I don’t mind people trying to sell their “tiny houses” or “tiny projects” but that is not the main purpose of this website.

Personally, I like seeing the ones for sale along with the others. I subscribe because the “tiny” lifestyle appeals to me, and I hope to be in the market for a tiny house, though my plans are for a yurt. Still, it’s nice to know how these are valued, and the plethora of extra information makes spatial visualization easier for me. I’d probably miss this because, as I’m not currently actively seeking to buy, I probably wouldn’t be a regular watcher of that thread. I realize this puts “Tiny House” in a pickle. Create a poll, mayhaps?
I like them on the main page, for sale or not. After all, I’m just looking to see what kind of ideas I’ll be able to use when I build my little house. Great inspiration to see the visual pic,etc. But if there was a separate section of “for sales” I would probably be inclined to visit it as well. The more pics the better!

See if you put these listings up I feel like I have a shot at owning a Tiny House. I know that there are people selling and what the price is. I vote to keep the listings part of the blog.

I have to say Im glad my house is drawing some comments, I do wish they were directed at a different subject of the house and not its posting position, I do appreciate all the support and as a big fan of the site I check it everyday, sometimes I dont particularly care for that days posting but I dont have to read it, I think Kent is running a great site and I truly appreciate all his help and support as well as that of the readers.

I have to say $2,500 sounds like a good deal for what you’ve already accomplished. What is the clear height under the beams for the loft? I’m asking because I am 6′-6″ tall and don’t like bumping my head all the time. I am interested in the as is option. I have been thinking about building a small house on a trailer as a weekend get away destination and this would really give me a leg-up on the construction. I live just east of Dallas, I think it’s about 350 miles from you. Oh yes, also is the trailer already registered?

thanks for your interest, the height under the beams is 7′
The trailer has not been registered yet, I can do that here and get an Arkansas title issued for it or you can register it in Texas, whatever is best for you.

Well I talked it over with my wife and we decided against the purchase. I already have two bathrooms to remodel and additional painting I have not been getting to. Sorry Scott, I hope you are able to sell it soon.

Scott, how would you recommend this be heated, or is that already figured in and I’ve missed it? Could it be built to use renewable energy (solar, et al)? This really is an amazing space.
Tee, thanks for your remarks, we nearly always set our houses up for heat/air combo window or motel type electric units. I am just now really starting to check into the solar possibilities, but I would be glad to incorporate any type of system that a potential buyer would like to have installed. Thanks,

i love the fact that i can see what others have built.i would love to see more people building on used mobil home frames.and haveing the local governments except it. any thing seems possible,its government that make things not possible.

Hi Steve and everyone else. According to the comments it seems the majority are okay with maintaining it this way. I may still do a poll and see if the results are any different, but at this point will continue in this way.
Hello, I just happen to live near the town where this tiny house is being built and drive by the site often. It has been sorta fun seeing Scotts progress on this and a bit bigger one that he is working on. Would like to hear what interested him in building tiny houses. As for my husband and I it started out as a necessity… We could only afford a simply built no frills 384sqft “cabin”. Though since we moved in a year ago it’s turned into more of a “green” challenge, to find interesting ways to lower our carbon foot print and draw from renewable forms of energy. Not sure at this point we’d ever go smaller but the past has taught me that anything can happen in the future.
I really enjoy all the post here on tinyhouseblog.

I’m sorry you haven’t been able to sell this sooner. It’s killing me that I’m not in a position to buy it myself. I’m about six months away from having the funds to make this happen! There really is a market for these.

Personally, I am enough of a novice such that I enjoy virtually all of the pictures posted. They give me an emotional lift. That said, I am interested in reading more on “how to” build, purchase, loans, etc. a Tiny Home. So it would be nice to have a website that was “just the facts” or the latest research on…
I would love to see a scaled drawing of that bathroom and kitchen layout looks very workable and space efficient.
I love seeing the ones peeps have for sale, just as much as the ‘story’ ones.
