***Sold*** Lorna contacted me the other day about a cozy cottage she has for sale in Sonoma County in Northern California.
Originally planning to go into business producing these cottages, Lorna changed her mind when she recently became a mother, she now has the original prototype for sale.
The cottage meets California Energy Efficient Standards with R13 walls and ceiling.
This cottage can be used as a spare bedroom or an office or you could complete the interior by putting in a kitchen and bathroom and making it a tiny home.
The cottage is on wheels and ready to be towed to wherever you live. Delivery can be arranged to wherever you are located.
Lorna is asking $19,900 (Price Reduced to $15,999) for the cottage and she can be reached at ———. You can view more photos at a website she has here. Be sure and tell Lorna you learned about her home on the Tiny House Blog.
What a pretty little place! What are those low, box things along the wall in the living area? Covers for the wheels? Do they get in the way of furniture or take up a lot of space?
Those are wheel covers as most homes built on trailers have. Often they are hidden with built in furniture so you never see them. This home is open so you choose how to furnish and complete it.
Looks very nice to me, I’d love to have that for a spare/guest room on my property.
Bringing it to Florida might be costly !!
Yes, Joe it probably would cost quite a bit to get it out to Florida. You could however make it a vacation and do a cross country trip as you would have the perfect place to stay on the road 🙂
I have a source who will ship anywhere….float me a note if you want his name.
what size is the trailer that the home sits on? What is the size of the house on the inside?
Hi Grant – I believe it is an 18 foot trailer. I did not measure it when I was out taking the pictures but will check with Lorna and get and answer on that soon…Kent
I just heard back from Lorna and here is what she says about the measurements:
I think it’s an 18 ft trailer and the cottage porch is cantilevered out about a foot or so off the front so the cottage is about 19 1/2 feet long and just under 14 ft high and 8 1/2 feet wide so it’s street legal.
I didn’t think we were settling in Colorado permanently so I didn’t measure it before we left but inside it’s approximately 17 1/2 long and 8 feet wide, the loft is about 7 1/2 feet long and 4 1/2 tall, these are all approximate measurements.
I had a 14 inch queen mattress in the loft that I slept in a few times and I could sit in bed reading comfortably and I’m tall, 5ft 8inches.
Is the cottage still available?
Hi Donna – yes the cottage is still available. You can contact Lorna if you would like more information…Kent
Where in the world would you put a bathroom or kitchen in one of those things?
do you still have this little house for sale ?
