Amish Yard Speciality Buildings as Tiny Houses

The quality craftsmanship and durability of Amish built homes and structures are well known. Amish Yard in Pittsburgh and Canonsburg, Pennsylvania not only creates the traditionally known barns, sheds and gazebos, but they also design and build specialty buildings in various sizes —some of which can be used for tiny houses.

The Amish Yard company works directly with Amish families to build pole barns, pavilions and pergolas, sheds, tree houses and a wide assortment of other wood structures. Their larger buildings include gambrel and a-frame cabins that can be used as guest houses, vacation homes or for full time living. Each of these designs can be assembled on site or can be prebuilt and delivered to your site.

Their cabins include eight foot tall sidewalls, 2×4 framing, 2×6 rafters, T&G treated floors, 25 year shingles, doors and optional windows, cedar trim and fascia and porches with cedar posts and railings. They come in various sizes from 12×12 foot to 16×32 foot and include a 10 year warranty on workmanship. There are also various options for siding, roofs and paint and stain color.

The Amish Yard Specialty Buildings include everything from tiny structures on raised platforms to traditional looking homes in smaller sizes. Garages, barn space and various storage options can also be added into the specialty design. Have you ever thought of a tiny Bardominium? That can be done.

  1. Very glad to see this! The Amish are building my tiny house. I’m very pleased with their work. And all for a very low price (much lower than other builders).
